Aby Kate has developed her successful career as a Professional Dancer into the world of fitness. Whilst continuing to teach Dance, Choreograph and Perform, Aby has progressively established herself also within the Fitness Industry as a successful Freelance Fitness Instructor, with over 20 years of experience.
Aby Kate before lockdown offered a weekly timetable of more than 25 classes in & around Stoke on Trent, see is currently teaching 16 classes online due to COVID (see weekly blog). Last year Aby safely introduced face to face classes for about 8 weeks and hopes this year sees the return of face to face classes.
Aby will inspire and motivate you at the same time incorporating her three loves ‘Dance, Fitness, Body & Mind’.

I have a great passion for what I do and love to encourage and help unlock everyone’s potential; for beginners building self esteem and confidence and for those more experienced providing continued motivation. I’m always available to answer your questions and give guidance.

Physical and mental fitness

I encourage mindfulness and will offer opportunities to which will challenge all fitness levels. Scientific studies prove fitness has a positive effect on our mental wellbeing, this combined with a fine physical health will support a better quality of life.

I have always been interested in toning up my abs but have never had the drive to do so. With a good friend of mine I went to Swiss ball on a Thursday with Aby Kate and fell in love with the tunes, the moves and the fact that I could go at the pace I wanted to go at. I have never looked back even love the way Swiss ball makes me feel the next day! Aby is a fantastic instructor, fantastic value for money and the sweatiest hour of the week.

Thursday mornings wouldn’t be the same without Fitsteps. Aby’s routines are amazing, incorporating the ‘Strictly’ dance moves with first class tuition and excellent choice of music. Overall very motivating with a feel-good factor. I thoroughly recommend it.

When I retired, I wanted to keep fit and stay active so I joined Aby’s Fitsteps class. Three years later I’m still going strong and enjoying every minute of it. It’s a good aerobic exercise and at the same time you learn different ballroom dance steps (without the need of a partner).  She is a brilliant choreographer and cleverly interprets the music to fit the individual dances.  She changes the routines regularly which not only keeps you “on your toes” but keeps your brain active too!
I then decided I wanted to do a more “relaxing” class so joined the slow flow yoga group.  You can make the moves as easy or as hard as you feel able to do.  I love this class as I feel that my muscle strength, posture, balance and flexibility have improved greatly.
When TAPfit came along I couldn’t wait to give it a go.  This class is great… it’s fun, energetic and a full body great work out.  Can’t wait for it to start up again.
